Anthony V. Salvaggio

Anthony Salvaggio is an Athletic Trainer with a diverse medical background as a physical therapy aide and EMT, while working in a multitude of diverse settings as a professional and entrepreneur.
Mr. Salvaggio is an alumni from Florida International University from both undergraduate and graduate programs, and furthered his training with a Global Masters of Business Administration degree. As an Athletic Trainer, Mr. Salvaggio has worked in multiple settings including physical therapy centers, orthopedic clinics, hospitals, high school and collegiate sports, USA Olympic sports, international professional soccer, and as an assistant athletic trainer in Major League Baseball. Mr. Salvaggio has taken on multiple clinical and administrative roles over his career. 

In 2003, Mr. Salvaggio launched Athletic Training Solutions, which focuses on individual and group exercise programs, including private rehabilitation and recovery treatment methods to clients. Since 2003, Athletic Training Solutions has evolved into the multidimensional service line that it is today.

Dr. Alejandro Badia

MD, FACS 

Medical Director, Athletic Training Solutions

Alejandro Badia, MD, FACS is a hand and upper extremity orthopedic surgeon treating orthopedic problems of the Hand & Wrist, Arm & Forearm, Elbow, and Shoulder, at Badia Hand to Shoulder Center in Doral, Florida previously serving as chief of hand surgery, Baptist Hospital of Miami. Dr. Badia studied physiology at Cornell University and obtained his medical degree at NYU, where he also trained in orthopedics. A hand fellowship at Alleghany General Hospital in Pittsburgh was followed by an AO trauma fellowship in Freiburg, Germany. He runs an active international hand fellowship, and serves on the editorial board of two hand journals. For a decade he organized a yearly Miami meeting for surgeons/therapists that was devoted to upper limb arthroscopy and arthroplasty. In 2005, Dr. Badia co-founded the world renowned Miami Anatomical Research Center (M.A.R.C.), the worlds largest surgical cadaveric training lab. He is a founding member of the American Hand Institute, a think tank and medical device start-up company focused on minimally invasive solutions to hand, wrist and elbow pathology.

In 2008, he completed the Badia Hand to Shoulder Center, a fully integrated clinical facility for the upper limb also encompassing the Surgery Center at Doral, rehabilitation and an MRI imaging facility. More recently, Dr. Badia inaugurated OrthoNOW®, the first immediate orthopedic urgent care center in south Florida, which is staffed by surgeons from the Doral Orthopedic Clinic (DOC); a group of surgeons from lower extremity, upper limb and spine subspecialties, who also treat elective orthopedic problems in international patients. OrthoNOW® was officially franchised in early 2013 and is actively engaging healthcare entrepreneurs and surgeons, here and abroad to open orthopedic urgent care facilities.
